Saturday night was the opening night of the Boom Boom Room-the new club/lounge on the rooftop of the Standard Hotel in the Meatpacking. Saturday was also a celebration for the 17th annual New York Mercedes Benz Fashion week, although the crowd more resembled a Hollywood Oscar Party. With a 360 degree view of the city and the Hudson river, this ever so chic lounge was very reminecsent of the Studio 54 days. The only thing missing, a disco ball. From the likes of Madonna + Jesus Luv, Jerry Seinfeld, Guy Oseary, Donna Karan, Calvin Klein, Jon Bon Jovi, Bruce Willis, Ashton Kutcher + Demi Moore, we couldn’t think of anyone missing. As celebrities and makeup artists including Pat McGrath, stylists like Jessica Diehl and editors such as Lauren Santo Domingo filled each round booth along the skyline of Manhattan’s West Side, the energy consistently flowed throughout the room. Not to mention Courtney Love making her way through the crowded walkways as well as Lindsay Lohan and her little sister trying to find a good nook to retire to. As the party continued other influential guests endlessly flowed through-Aeron Lauder, Julianne Margolis, Rachel Zoe, Lyor Cohen, Kirsten Dunst, a pregnant Karolina Kurkova, Terry Richardson, Devon Aoki, Trace Ayala, Jared Leto, Jake Paltrow, John Sykes, Alex Von Furstenberg + Nicky Hilton. All in all it was an incredible party with an infinite number of gorgeous dresses and chic outfits, after all it was NYC Fashion Week!
