I remember first seeing Sofia Coppola in Godfather 3 while on family vacation in Aspen in the early 1990′s. Through the years, her career behind the lens has created films which have evoked emotions and struck a chord with common themes+references, going to Tokyo never will be the same after Lost In Translation…as the NY Times film critic put it best, what touched me most about Somewhere was “The scenes play off one another like stanzas, producing patterns and echoes that feel like the camera’s accidental discoveries, even as they are the surest evidence of Ms. Coppola’s formidable and subtle art.” People warned the movie was slow, I wished it wouldnt end. Saving the best for last, only Blue Valentine is left on the list to see over this Movie marathon holiday in NYC.

XMAS 2010 ON THE BOWERY

“So this is XMAS”…the morning of XMAS eve started out peaceful and quiet on the Bowery. While friends on holiday sip smoothies on the beach, wake+bake on the mountains, or are just getting to sleep from partying in Miami…we started our day sipping cappuccino and eating H&H bagels when one of the redcoats from the Bowery Hotel dropped by with xmas gifts! Its a beautiful day in New York City XMAS 2010.

BLACK OPS EVERYTHING

We’ve been waiting to come across something interesting to inspire a new round of blogging. On a late rainy NY nite, some internet surfing revealed…Jeep released a Black Ops Wrangler!? It is hard to believe we missed this….maybe you did too.

Based on the Wrangler’s Rubicon trim, the Black Ops Edition features mineral gray alloy wheels wrapped in 32-inch off-road tires, Call of Duty: Black Ops logos, an entirely blacked-out exterior. Just plain bad ass, all Black everything.
