THE MET COSTUME INSTITUTE GALA

Last night celebs came out in full force to celebrate the annual Met Costume Institute Gala. The theme for 2010 was “American Women” featuring an exhibition co-curated by Vogue’s Anna Wintour. We watched the red carpet for you and picked our favorites of the night. A popular trend was the neutral colored gown. SJP shined in a Halston Heritage golden gown and we loved our friend Kate Hudsons sexy Stella McCartney dress. Leading the way for the leggy stars were Blake Lively in a Mini Blue Marchesa and Gisele in Alexander Wang’s short fringy frock. Finally, we always love to see what unconventional looks pop up. And although we give Tina Fey and A for effort with her YSL jumpsuit we had to go with Chloe Sevigny’s Proenza teal number + Alexa Chung who radiates with confidence in her 3.1 Phillip Lim tuxedo ensemble.
