What does it take to become a fashion icon? The steps seem simple: Create a style all your own that will be emulated for years to come, be extreme in everything you do, and know that not matter what, people will be watching. Seeing as there are only a handful of true style icons and designers who dress them we guess there’s more to it, but for style maven Sarah Jessica Parker, it seems effortless. After establishing that Manolos, cosmos, and the perfect party dress are women’s utmost confidantes, the iconic character Carrie Bradshaw and her posse redefined shopping from being revered a frivolity to an artful expression of personal style and grace (if you haven’t already don’t forget check out the Blue & Cream new mix tape!) Off screen, Parker dazzles as much if not more than her character– continually stealing the red carpet spotlight with her savoir-faire swagger. As such, when Halston Heritage sought a new team member to step up to the plate, Parker seemed an automatic choice (not to mention she’ll be flaunting some of the top designs in the highly anticipated Sex and the City sequel). This latest line from Halston pays homage to the labels 1970’s glam, Studio54 inspired looks favored by fashionistas Bianca Jagger, Jackie Kennedy, and Elizabeth Taylor, with a modern sensibility.
